The ACT Caterpillar Hour is a stage production program showcasing real first-person stories, about a given topic.

​

The topic for this show is dating:  Best dates, Worst Dates, First Dates, Last Dates, Married Couple Dating, Dates on a salad—any story that is about dating will be reviewed.

The show will be at The Ashland VFW Marconi’s Theater

April 9-10-11, 2026   730 PM   (Thurs, Fri and Sat nights)

 

Tech and Dress nights April 7th and 8th.

 

Guidelines for Submitting a story and or Video

​

• The stories are written and told by members of the public, as they always have memorable and very personal stories about themselves.

• ​

• Stories should be under 7 minutes in length.

• ​

• Submissions should be in monologue form, please do not include other characters on stage. IE don’t write a short scene with multiple participants on the stage.  The intent is for a 1 to 1 audience experience.

• ​

• Submit your Video or written story to Joe White, Julie Murphy and Jim Parr.  

• ​

• If you are submitting a story, we will set up a time to review the story and have you tell it to us, this can be done over zoom or in person.

• ​

• If you are submitting a video, please send it in via the DropBox link 

• ​

• You should be prepared to be the person telling the story. If you are nervous, don’t be as we have an experienced director that will work with you on your presentation.

• ​

• You do not need to be available all 3 nights, so if you have a conflict with 1 of the dates we can adjust that night’s schedule accordingly.
